I enjoyed this book immensely. Easy to read, exciting, the plot wasn’t anything wildly creative but it was very good.

I love crazy women.

I did become aware of a reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/books/s/oOLzaE1SxV

That’s why it gets 3.5 when I probably would have given it a 5. Tsk Tsk don’t steal your plots. I’ll be reading the second one anyway, but I get them on KU so I can live with that.

For one of my free books from Amazon I wasn't disappointed. There were plenty of grammatical errors and a few cases of missing words in sentences. The writing often felt awkward and clunky, but overall it was a good story.

It was exciting. The main character was strong yet interesting, I enjoyed learning more about him and his decision making impressed me as opposed to annoying me. The ending wasn't exactly what I would call plot, but I was excited reading it. It felt like reading a NoSleep story, and I love NoSleep so that's fine by me.

Definitely not amazing writing, but I didn't expect it to be. Just a fun and quick horror novel that didn’t feature massive plot holes. That’s a win for me.

Super enjoyable. Very readable. A lovely gem from my 2020 TBR list of free books I found on the kindle app. Published in 2014 during the Fantasy Novel Wars™️ no less.

I know a lot of people didn’t like the insta-love trope but I LOVE it and I will devour it every time. Ridge was very sexy. I love that it’s a one off and you don’t have to read the rest of the series but can enjoy the rest because of mentioned characters.

I will definitely check out this authors other work.

By far the best book in the D.D. Warren series so far.
