This is an easy and lovely read! I fell in love with all the characters and really have enjoyed a book from the villain’s side rather than the hero’s. The romance between the two main characters is nice as it’s a slow build. There’s plenty of humor and kind moments in this story, but with a mix of some bloodshed. I really can’t wait to read the second book!

I couldn’t finish reading the book past chapter 3. It’s pretty slow to start. I just don’t think this is a book for me. It’s very sad in the beginning and the main character is very timid. I’m generally not a fan of timid shy girls as the main character. It’s also just very slow to start, although written very well.

WOW. I thought the first book was good but the second gas surpassed it! I read this entire book in about 2 days or so of travel. So much of the story had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Even times my mouth literally opened in surprise at certain parts I couldn’t believe just happened. This story is definitely darker than the first, with so much at play for the characters. You find out even more about each person and Jude becomes even more of a badass than she was in the first book (although she faces MANY difficulties and small defeats). The ending though has made me almost mad 😡. LIKE WHAT?! You know if you’ve read this book what I’m talking about. What the heck is going to happen in the third book?!?!?!

I DNF’d this book. It’s really dry and kind of boring. Also, every woman is described with weird descriptors and always commented on how attractive they are. First book written by a man that I’ve read in a long time and now I can completely see the difference between how most women write books and how men write books. Hopefully the rest of the series is better but I won’t be finding that out.

This is honestly one of the best books I’ve read in a long time! I love this interpretation of the Fae World. This book had me on the edge of my seat so many times~ the characters written were amazing and made me feel sooo many emotions. Love, hatred; disgust, sadness, fear, etc. I can not recommend this book enough! The end has left me mouth agape and ready for the second book!

This book was amazing and a HUGE improvement from book 2! Brought me back to why I love the series like with book 1 with Orpheus. I cried a few times especially near the end of the book and Mayumi and her Duskwalker and such lovable characters! The only thing stopping this from 5 stars is that the book was honestly longer than it needed to be because the extreme number of sex scenes. I like them, but they started to get repetitive at the end… So me personally, I spend through the last few to finally get to the rest of the book lol.
