Something about the writing style didn't really work for me, but I can see how this is an interesting dive into the toxicity of these relationships. We need more messy queer relationships in books! For having such short chapters, I felt like parts dragged slowly. The short chapters also made certain narrative threads confusing in terms of timelines. One moment characters are together and the next we're being told that they no longer think of the other. These elements were balanced with a little bit of good introspection and the crocodile chapters.
