I loved the first! This one didn’t quite capture the magic of the first one, but maybe it’s because I was waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire time that I couldn’t fully settle into the romance. I knew the reckoning from the epilogue of the first one was coming. I loved the conclusion of the marriage of convenience and loved the characters more than I expected.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

How can a romcom book about serial killers falling in love be cozy? I don’t know. But it sure is. The banter was top notch, their chemistry so good… I was kicking my feet and giggling at so many parts. The slow burn got me just the right amount of impatient before letting you have the payoff. I love these characters and hope the next two in the series can follow precedent. So unexpectedly fun.
