I have my qualms with the writing and the way a few of the characters are written, but the book is still really good. It was very plot driven and the stakes were high for every character the whole book. It made for a read that was very hard to put down despite semi dredging through the first couple in the series.
I really did like this book. I liked the message it brought about through the main character getting to experience all these different versions of herself and the lessons she learned through that. Though I think the last two chapters felt a little rushed. It felt like a short synopsis of what the reader was supposed to have learned with the main character. Like the author felt that maybe their point wasn’t going to get across or perhaps taken the wrong way. I still really enjoyed it and I highly recommend the read for anyone who struggles with mental health.
I don’t know how to feel about this. Maybe bc I did not quite understand what was happening. The ending threw me off and I see there is next books but I almost don’t want to read them after the way this book ended. It was intriguing and I kept reading to figure out just what was going on. But it was almost too complex to enjoy in the end.
stop STOP my heart is in a pile of shreds at my feet and you’re telling me I have to wait another year. I am internally sobbing over the tragedy in this book. Give them a happy ending I AM BEGGING.
