I liked it but wow! It was a lot to get into. The pace gets quite a bit slower as you reach the middle of the book so this one took me while to finish. But, it was very comforting to pick up the book and enter a world I’ve spent time with. It’s a chaotic, dramatic, and adventurous read. I’d recommend to those with time to kill!

Book equivalent of a one season crime drama Netflix show. Loved getting lost in it for a day!

Hilarious. Loved it. Stupid lovable people wreaking havoc on dumb machinery and some beautiful descriptions of deserts I’d love to go to someday. Hemingway-esque, perhaps. Simple upfront but makes you think a little afterwards.

Long, slow, anecdotal at times, but also comforting, descriptive, and probing! It paints a cool picture of small town America!!

Holy crap. One of the best books I’ve ever read. It was dark, challenging, philosophical, manipulating, character based... there was so much history and you are truly thrown into this world and  it’s so hard to get out of it.

Not King’s best, or maybe it just wasn’t what I wanted in a King book. Not scary or particularly dark, but fast paced and adventurous still.
