This final installment was my least favorite from the 'Women are Some Kind of Magic' series. That's not to say it was bad, but it didn't resonate with me like the first two did. This collection was full of emotions survivors felt during their healing process. My main takeaway was to be the author of your own story.
Overall, two standout poems for me keep me coming back for a reread. As a whole this entire series is worth checking out, especially the second installment, 'The Witch Doesn't Burn in This One.'
