A great book. Kind of an alternate history on what would happen if Brian Wilson had been able to release Smile at the time it was made, but found he still was not healed.

there's some fine writing in it. but the majority is just a rich English Oxbridge orientalist taking drugs once and then deciding he knows God. it's interesting for being early, and i highlighted some passages, but i've read more edifying journals on erowid.
