It has been a spell since a book made me stay up past my bedtime, but when you start reading the antics the hitman trio are willing to do to bring Christmas cheer back to Grace, you won't be able to put the book down.

Grace was just broken up with her boyfriend in the worst possible way. And right before Christmas, which was supposed to be the most magical time of the year. Just as her ex is about to leave her stranded in the mountains, Key, Atlas, and Teddy burst into her life carrying more than Christmas cheer with them.
She is now stuck in this mountain cabin with three hitmen, a man being held for information, and her ex. What could go wrong?

This book is full of laughs, tinsel, gingerbread cookies and 3 men who fall in love first and are willing to do whatever to make her theirs.

Spice: 4/5 (might give you ideas for those holiday decorations...)

Why Choose 3m/1f

Triggers: emotional abuse briefly mentioned by ex, cheating by ex, kidnapping (not the main female), and on page violence with Christmas food involved.

What happens when to neighbors are polar opposite of each other when it concerns Christmas? An explosion of holiday lights and love!

Elena deplores the Christmas season. It is filled with bad memories and heartache, and to see the holiday decorations of her neighbor's house, does nothing to diminish those feelings.

Luke's favorite time of year is Christmas due to traditions passed down from his family, and after a run in with his neighbor Elena, he is determined to find what causes her heart to shrink during this time of year.

This is a quick 200 page read, and perfect for those looking for a cozy holiday read about family, love, and Mr. Wiggles!
This book is written in the third person, without clear POV of characters, and if you are not familiar with this style of writing it may take you a spell to find the flow of the story.

We are first introduced to Brea and Ridley, albeit briefly in For Pucking Keeps. And while that book is the first in a series, this one can be read as a standalone.

Brea has finally made it as a musician and is ready to leave her past in the past, or so she thinks.

Ridley has decided two years was enough time to give Brea and is set on changing his ways of his past playboy life to win her back. But will it be enough?

In this book we get to see glimpses of the past and how it resulted in their separation, along with the present and how current events can affect their future.... Be prepared to experience heartbreaking loss, betrayal, and maybe, just maybe the re-connection of a piece of soul lost.

Be prepared to be thrown in to this world with no warning or map. It immediately starts with brutality, keeps the gas pedal to the floor and expects you to keep up. Reminiscent, in a way, of Joe Abercrombie's First Law series.

The world building was done nicely. The reader comes to an understanding of various concepts as the story progresses, rather than having things explained as seen in more traditional writing.

Or you can cheat and look at the glossary, but what is the fun in that?
