felt like the island of glass part could have been a separate 300 page book that showed their lives after After The Party in an epilogue because it felt terribly rushed at that part. i honestly just wanted more time with the characters.... i still liked it though. i especially liked how NR planted clues throughout the series so the reveals could be traced and didn't simply come out of thin air. great series despite the rushed feeling to the ending.

i've been reading NR books for years and though some reviews dislike how repetitive some of her books are, i'd go the opposite way and say i appreciate that they're predictable and follow certain formulas. it lets me know that when i want a book i can breeze through while having fun, i just need to find a paranormal/fantasy romance trilogy by her. i like patterns so i make it a little game to find her signature plot points across her series. perhaps, that's how she has already written more than 200 books, by having a formula.

really enjoyed it but not as much as i enjoyed if you could see the sun. by now, i trust that i'll like ann liang's books because she writes chracters that i end up loving so much no matter how cliche the plot may be.
