Loved that each chapter was a new story. Each one provided an interesting perspective to reflect on. The connections that the author made to futuristic problems is a sci-fi reality in our future.

Hempel vulnerably shares her family’s coming out in various forms. She unpacks her relationship with each member of her family, her friends, and herself providing a reflective opportunity for one’s own life. It is a reminder that there is no singular story of being queer or trans. It is a hopeful read that says we will be okay. If you are queer, trans, an ally, or not, this book should be on your list. You will leave viewing the world with a little more gratitude.
