I love this gloomy novel. Everything about it, from the scenery to the layered characters.

I really liked the description of scenery and temperature. Hits harder when you’re in a similair environment as the book is. The Stranger focuses on freedom, who and why should judge, open and shut cases. Simple.
Rest in peace Meursault!!!

“Perhaps one does not want to be loved so much as understood.”
I just sat staring at the last pages for a few minutes. Left me with goosebumps.
I could feel how Winston felt at the end - that dread, but also the relief.
Around halfway through the book I was like, this is just a cute little romance about two rebels. But, wow - the third part is just astonishing, i’m lost for words. Goldstein’s treatise pained my soul, though.
A timeless masterpiece - unforgettable.

Meh. It’s alright. The message doesn’t mean much to me.

“Kill all yuppies.”
An all time favourite for me. Almost everyone in this book is scum yet Ellis has written them so well. Atleast, to me - I love it.

Very well written scenery - can imagine it in my head clearly. It’s a little boring. Lovely characters, charming to see the world through a character as Klara.

"The mask was a thing on it's own, behind which Jack hid, liberated from shame and self-conciousness."
Boring occasionally. I think there was a little more potential with the “human nature” idea, but I find the length alright as it is.
