This book has so much going for it: the mystery of solitaire, Tori’s declining mental health and mental state, true teenage life and feelings, the small bit of romance in it. I did lose my way with certain aspects of the book, I don’t know if it was the sudden tone changes or the horrific pranks but either way it also made me feel like I was in tori’s shoes in those situations because you felt just as confused as she did.
There was quite an emotional part to the story with the Concert scene if you haven’t read it I won’t spoil it but it did make me sit and think for a while about attacks like that at concerts in real life and how lucky everybody in the book actually got.
It is a good book and a very enjoyable read would definitely recommend.

This book shows a beautiful and heartwarming romance between the two boys. I’ve only ever read one graphic novel and honestly this book makes me want to read more. It’s quite a simple book compared to the others I have read but it has such a beautiful storyline and shows the romance lovely. I’m scared as to what will happen in these books in the future as I have heard some things especially with the tv show coming out but I hope it covers them in respectful ways.

This book was a beautiful read about love and loss. The ending
with discovering her mother also has the same power as her
was quite obvious as to what was going to come to pass. However, I did enjoy the lovers and the way the came together. There was a part in the story that I did find quite triggering and it made me feel quite upset but the character that it happened to did seem to disappear half way through which was a shame cause it would’ve been nice to see his character growth and development rather than using him as a driving force to push the lovers away to have another explanation scene that didn’t go as planned.

This book follows the same beats as the story scene for scene and honesty reading a book like this after such a long, hard hitting and emotional book is very relaxing and calms your mind.
The story of Billy is one I always hold near to my heart knowing a boy myself who loved dancing but was horribly bullied for it, so seeing Billy in this book so supported by others further into it made me love it even more.
I had a lot of my close relatives grow up in the miners strike and I hear stories about it all the time so seeing it presented in a real way and reading about it and the struggles was quite emotional.

My only complaint I wish it was longer

It’s a book I’ve been wanting to read for a while and finally got around to it with the release of the 2019 movie. This book is nothing short of inspirational, making you think and challenge your own flaws and go on a discovery of yourself to see if you truly know what you want in life.
Though some areas of the plot I wish were more developed (mainly the love connections of all the sisters) it still is a heart-warming peice of literature and I wish it was studied in school. But I also understand making students try to read a 400 page book is a hard challenge.
