Did not finish book. Stopped at 4%.
As much as I like Man of La Mancha, this book was too much out of my comfort zone. It's not that I don't understand any of it, but it was a bit of a chore to read. I'm not saying it's a bad piece of literature (because it definitely isn't), but it's not for me. I don't want to say it's too old because that sounds dumb, but I struggled with the way it was written and that mainly has to do with when it was written. I tried to get into it but I couldn't. A+ for effort?

This book was freakin' sweet. I loved it from start to finish. I really liked the characters (Marek was a total badass) and the plot was engaging as hell. Historians trapped back in the medieval era? Crazy.

This has become one of my favorite books of all time. 10/10.
It was most definitely worth the 4 dollars at Goodwill.

Well I definitely don't like it much anymore. The rune translation stuff was tedious and I found myself getting irritated. I'm not giving this book a star rating because I feel like a low rating would be unfair since this a children's book and I'm no longer part of the target demographic.

This book was pretty boring but I don't think it was meant to be read from front to back. Well, at least the illustrations were nice.

For the most part, this book was interesting, but the odd dialogue between Seth and Irina in chapter 22 (he was a bit pushy considering her trauma) as well as how the ending was written (not the ending itself) left me feeling like it could've been better. It was still a good book but it ended on sort've a weak note.

This book really captured my attention from the beginning and left me with many questions. I don't think I've ever read anything from the perspective of (mostly) a kindergartener/1st grader before. It followed a formula in each chapter where everything started as normal and then gradually eased into the horror before leaving you with a twist at the end. It was a solid book.
