Been wanting to read this for years, so hard to get copies off. But it didn’t disappoint, doesn’t add any more than the movie but it doesn’t need to. Gripping story, amazing and violent artwork but not violent for the sake of it. Brilliant manga.

Absolutely hilarious. Coogan at is best. In this boring pc age it’s a breath of fresh air.

Very short but packed a lot of story into it and had me hooked all the way through just a bit disappointed with how it ended.

Hilarious story. Short and sweet my only criticism is I was waiting for a twist at the end that never came.

Watched the film and found it emotional but was a great film, wanted to read the book to see if it added any more to the story which it didn’t but wow it was like hearing the story all over again even tho I knew what happens in the story. Such a brilliant book :)

Emotional

I was expecting a grim story of human suffering which in part it was, but also positives of the human spirit and desire to keep going showed in the story. An emotional rollercoaster off a book. Brilliant.

Short story but loved it, love the authors books they grip you and take you back in time. Wonder if there will be a film made like the boy in the striped pyjamas.
