Long but incredibly informative. Any errors or disagreements were trivial. Wish I’d read Zinn years ago. Would highly recommend.

Better than I expected. You can feel the sincerity coming through the pages. A very accessible, yet informative read.

I’m not typically one for historical fictions, but David Benioff (GOT) wrote a highly entertaining book about two Russian youths during WWII. They’re forced to deal with everything from Nazis to cannibals. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick read. Also the audiobook is narrated by Ron Perlman, which was absolutely amazing.

An interesting dive into diverse perspectives on the relationship between straight edge and politics. It’s difficult to decipher an overall thesis and the entire book might not be very interesting to people outside of straight edge or hardcore punk. But there’s a good amount of engaging interviews and reflections from people like Ian Mackaye, Refused, ManLiftingBanner, Mark Anderson, and others that general punk fans will get a lot out of.

A solid critique of a wide range of policing practices. Each chapter focuses on a specific area of policing where the author details its history, current problems, the limits of proposed reforms, and abolitionist alternatives.
Although it’s a great overview of the negative consequences of American police, it’s introductory nature may make it unsatisfying to those on the left, and it’s overly progressive language will likely alienate the those on the right who would most benefit from reading a book like this.

Absolutely amazing. Rich with details, narrations, and images showcasing the development of dinosaur paleontology from speculation to rigorous science. A must read for even casual dinosaur fans curious about some of the most recent scientific developments and discoveries.

One of the most enjoyable modern fictions I've ever read. The book felt like the perfect blend of historical fiction, fantasy, and horror - 3 genres I don't typically read.

Really fun book to listen to. My only gripe is it seemed to quickly gloss over events that would’ve been interesting to hear more details on.
