This book is definitely sci-fi from start to finish. With this book having only a few characters and such a closed setting I really like how comfortable it felt. Although at the end I was left with more questions but that is what the second book is for, I thought it was a really good leisure read. The part where everything is revealed really through me for a loop that I really loved and filled me with wonder. The author is also so adorable☺️ She signed my book and told me about the process it took for her to write it. After meeting her and reading the book it really reflects her personality.
Also, this book could be read as a stand alone. It does say trilogy but from from the synopsis of the next book, it's from another characters POV.
