The Utterly Uninteresting and Unadventurous Tales of Fred, the Vampire Accountant by Drew Hayes

This was a pretty quick read, and I didn't overly dislike it or find it impossible to read. There were a few things that made it a less-than-enjoyable read for me. There was a lot of recapping of the previous section or reintroducing characters, including Fred, which felt a little overdone and ended up becoming a little frustrating to have something I just read unexplained to me. Additionally, there was a good amount of misogyny and discussion of fatness that seemed very, very unnecessary, not that a certain level of either of those things is necessary. Fred talks a lot about how he used to be fat in high school and makes a lot of comments about Krystal's body. It feels like almost every time that he is describing or reintroducing her, he has to mention that she used to be fat in high school and is now skinny and hot. He also makes a lot of comments about how he and other men in the book have a hard time not staring at her chest instead of her eyes.
