Somehow I forgot how absolutely gone on Annabeth Percy really is, this was the perfect reminder lol this boy is OBSESSED and I loved every single second of it.
Another absolutely hilarious and nostalgic adventure, I was crying from laughter and made soso many notes while reading.
The PJO universe really feels like home and I hope no matter how old I get I never grow out of loving these books.

" I am a guy of limited talents. If I can‘t kill it with water, a sword or sarcasm, I am basically defenseless. (I come preloaded with sarcasm.)"

"A soap maker offered cruelty free soap. Because nothing is worse than showering with cruel soap."

Percy, I love you with all of my heart.

the world building? magical
the vibes? enchanting
the main characters? ranging from boring to insufferable
will I continue this series? 100%

It's a testament to great writing that I enjoyed this book even though I cared for neither Scarlett, Tella nor Julian. Scarlett's inner monologue had my eye twitching, the "love story" I don't even have words for because what-

Loved the magical vibes though and I'm intrigued enough to continue, because I've heard from trusty sources it gets better. I loved the OUABH series so maybe my hopes were just too high who the fuck knows

It felt like I was waiting the whole book for the story to finally start, hoping it'll live up to its potential and then the last couple of chapters had me shooketh, excited to see where this story will go

In a lot of ways this was not your run of the mill, straightforward rom-com: it tackled guilt, grief, death, anxiety, had nuanced relationships and showed life can be kinda messy and still good.
Loved the representation: a demisexual, stuttering, deeply empathetic introvert mmc with social anxiety was so incredibly refreshing!
So many funny, and meaningful moments. Loved the mechanics behind their professions (mortician + animator!) and fell head over heels in love with Callum within the first few chapters.
It lost me a bit in the second half, because some of the things that happened just weren't for me personally
singing/serenading in books always gives me the ick, some cheesy scenes/inner monologues, how some things were handled
but there were also so many aspects to of this I loved so I think 3.75 ⭐️ is still fair. The ending was really sweet and I can‘t wait to read Cielo's story next.

If you like a shy + dirty talking mmc, spicy spice, a beautiful Irish landscape, unconventional love stories, and giggles: this is for you!

🎧 great narration, loved the accents!
✨dual POV
✨friends-to-lovers
✨opposites attract
✨love after loss
✨funny!
