It’s a no from me…this was so not what I was hoping for. Where do I begin first let’s start with how Emma was so me??? Idk how the author could have written a character so like me and also make me despise her w my every being?! Emma Morley if only I was ur mother 😭🤣 Dexter on the other hand there’s no saving u from hell omfg 😩 We follow both Em an Dex every July 15th graduating uni an entering adulthood for 20yrs an it takes almost all those yrs for Dexter to finally decide to choose Em but not bc he realized his mistakes but bc he’s a lonely washed up drunk divorced middles aged man whose own daughter fears??? Oh Em if only u stayed w that French man oof. Dex is handsome rich charming an bi he has it all until he doesn’t an this book follows him as he makes a mess of his life through alcohol, drugs an being an inconsiderate asshole to every woman near him including his dying mother w cancer!! Em on the other hand is a pretty smart socialist with low self esteem. She’s very judgmental an rude that her self depreciating behavior leads to her demise literally by getting w the man who treated her like an afterthought whole time they’d known each other and having an attitude for having infertility issues, she dies on July 15th an all those yrs of her being miserable were for nothing but to add to Dexter’s character arc but actually doesn’t bc he ends up as an ugly
