Jodi Picoult is my favorite author and I will always ready every word she writes. The beginning of this novel did not catch my interest right away but 30% in I was hooked. I love how much research went into this novel and how there is just enough evidence to question whether or not parts of it are true

I tried to read this in print first but DNF’d. I listened to the audiobook to give it another chance and loved it. I think it falls a little flat so listening to it helped so much

A little cliche in term of legal thrillers but I really liked the characters and the time jumps from the past to the future

Really not a good read for me, it felt like it was almost funny at times, all most deep at times but always seemed to miss the mark

Frieda! I can never guess the endings of her thrillers, and that makes them all incredibly fun to read.

I never thought a book about a man turning into a shark would make me cry so hard

The world and magic system is so good and the twist at the end is great, but it was a little lacking! I hope book 2 brings the story together more
