The thing that I like best about Holly June Smith’s books is her ability to create characters with so much depth and personality that it feels like you’re sitting with a friend over a coffee sharing the latest goss together. This being the third and final book in Sunshine Bookclub Series, and me being unhealthily attached and invested in these characters, I was pretty emotional by the end realising this would be the last time we would meet like this.
(And by the way, if it’s been a minute since you read the previous two books in the series, or you haven’t read them, there’s a recap at the start of the book to help you catchup. Can we please make this the norm or books in series’ in future, because it was brilliant.)
What a way to finish off the series! TNRR follows Megan and Ollie who, through a series of events, find themselves as unexpected roommates. Guys, the tension was there from the beginning and it was a delicious slow burn. These two are hands down my favourite couple of the series - I was rooting for them the whole time. Ollie with his big dreams and general good-naturedness alongside Megan’s follow-the-plan and her inability to put herself first in any situation, leads to a story filled with all the yearning and stolen glances and raunchy goodness and a very, very full heart.
Oh, and did I mention Megan is Ollie’s boss’s daughter, and she’s 9 years older than him? And Ollie’s love-language is fixing things around the house? Oh, and the banter!! *swoon*
What put this book at the five stars for me, though, was that there was story beyond the romance that was genuinely heartbreaking, and really hit close to home (especially as someone feeling like they’re not doing life ‘right’, either).
I absolutely inhaled this, and will definitely be giving it a second read soon, I enjoyed it that much.
Thanks so much to the author, Holly June Smith, for the ARC-, all my opinions are my own.

Not really for me - I expected dark, but it was too much for me. Maybe if the FMC wasn't such a meek pushover I might have been a bit more ok with it, she's such a doormat that is just felt the really bad kind of wrong.
