This book was awesome. The world and the magic are so interesting and exciting, and I think the author left a lot of mystery to solve from the first book, which makes me excited for the second. At times, the writing felt a touch silly/teenage dystopian-esque, but overall I was sucked into this book. I can't wait to read more!

I really wish this book was better than it was. The first half was alright, but the ending was a mess. The author spent so much time building up universe/magic rules, only to abandon them at the climax of the book. Also wayyyy too much Tharion and Ithan.
