Even thought it was a bit soft and fluffy for me, I really enjoyed A long Way to a Small Angry Planet. After reading reviews of this books I decided to read it with low expectations.
Well it turned out I couldn’t finish it no matter my intentions or expectations. I realize that Jane is a young girl and Sidra is a young A.I. In a new body kit but it just seems like it is written for young adults or even children.
A few of the character quirks got old pretty fast as well. Sidra is in a body kit, honest we get it. “She opened the kit’s hand.” “She made the kit walk forward.” the kit, the kit, the kit...ugh.
And the constant use of the word real instead of really. Mostly in the Jane chapters but it popped up a few times elsewhere. “The water tasted real good.” “She knew it was real far.” Real is an adjective and really is an adverb and using them wrong isn’t cute or charming, it’s weird and annoying.

This is not a review, just a reminder to myself in the future. I didn’t like this and quit reading a little more than halfway through. *tosses book toward DNF bin
