“I suddenly understand that forever isn’t the part that I almost lost faith in. It was the millions of right-nows along the way”

Nothing but cuteness in this book, although not a fan of pee-wee but a big fan of how quirky Millicent is. #hillzshelf July read that did not disappoint! The Spotify playlist is also exactly what I imagined her road trip playlist to be. Might be bad/good depending on your musical preferences but I def liked it!

Loved the whole theme surrounding romcoms & soundtracks. Huge fan of both! Lynn Painter you and these YA romances get me EVERY TIME

How much in the beginning did I not like Indy? A LOT. Honestly nor did I care much for Ryan Shay’s insecurities. Yet SOMEHOW the author convinced me otherwise and I loved this book so much. And the sex scenes omg if you have a praise, good girl, dominant man kink, then this is the one. Loved it, thanks #hillzshelf bookclub for recommending, this series is def my jam.

Beautifully written. This is not an escape from reality type book. This is reality slaps you in the face but somehow the writing is so poetic the sting doesn’t hurt as much.

“I was hopelessly, inexorably in love with Nathaniel, and only Nathaniel.”

Ya girl me too, can’t even begin to say how much I enjoyed this book! #hillzshelf book club August pick did not disappoint!

I picked this for #BOTM because it said fans of Sylvia Moreno Garcia & SA Cosby would enjoy (I am a fan of both). Welp they got me, it was definitely a wild ride. I really had no idea what to expect next from cartel wars to underground tunnels and brujería. All the while knowing he had a somewhat normal life prior to this huge loss he takes. I appreciated even though I understand/read Spanish that there was a companion translation book included with my #BOTM box for selecting this read.

“Beautiful Sheen. Beautiful Bailey Sheen.
That's how I'll always remember him.”

What a beautifully sad story, yet somehow you still sense the silver lining all throughout the grief. I loved all the characters except for Becker obvs. I laughed, cried, and was heartbroken; the author really knows how to build a story.

3.5 a bit much with the story. My mind had a hard time keeping up with all the characters/lies. It came together at the end enough. #hillzshelf September read!
