Extremely moving and it reads like a poetry. It's an incredibly beautiful and rare novel.

Better. It has its problems, but it was written 20 years ago. I can close an eye on some of these problems, but the fatphobia was... ugh, disgusting.

Absolutely brilliant, devastating, hauntingly beautiful, one of the most original books (and one of the weirdest, in the best way possible) books I've ever read. I cried, I gasped, I laughed, I suffered, I LOVED Binh and the fortunteller and I related so much to Winnie. Marvelous book, so creative and well crafted, it was really inspiring, especially at the end. I'll be thinking about it for a while, I don't think I will ever forget this book.
