I mean, I knew it was a romcom and I knew it would be lighthearted and nothing against that. Still it was a little bland, the characters lacked of some depth, like they were all written the same way. Hearing them interact felt like when one person does the dubbing of every character in an international movie.

Si c’était un mystère, il aurait pu être résolu par le club des 5. Si c’était une série, elle serait diffusée sur TF1. Premier Dicker et je suis extrêmement déçue, les personnages manquent de profondeur, le fil de l’histoire est confus. La page se tourne vite mais l’étincelle n’y est pas.

No words will do this book a better justice than the ones written in it. A delightful mix between a mystery and a pinch of ‘to kill a mocking bird’. Reading it after ‘the book of the goose’ made it even more delightful. Knowing this is a debut, Miss Jennie Godfrey you will forever be iconic.
