Dual narration performed by Lila Winters & Teddy Hamilton

• Best Friend’s Brother • Second Chance • Friends to Hate to Lovers • It’s Always Been You • Forbidden Love • Maximum Angst • Small Town •

Overall, I enjoyed it! It super angsty, but Row, the MMC, was so incredibly thoughtful, making small unknown gestures for Cal, the FMC, literally since they first met as barely teens. It was so cute! And he always holds a candle for her, even when she breaks his heart more than once.

The narrators were fantastic!! Loved Lila and Teddy in this one!

Duet narration performed by Lee Daniels, Sean Masters, and cameo by Joe Arden

Enjoyed it very much, especially the second half when it was very action packed. While it is an interconnected standalone, really should read/listen to book 1 first for the best experience.

Alex is a badass! She’s a former Marine sniper and can hold her ground with her male colleagues. And she’s not the kind of woman to sit around and wait for anyone. She jumps into action. I also loved how she interacted with Raike’s kids, building genuine trust and friendship with them.

Raike is newly divorced and trying to rebuild relationships with his kids. And he’s kickass in his own right as a former SEAL. While he can get a little overprotective, he also recognizes it and respects Alex’s competence and ability.

Lots of action in this one. Kept the story moving along. More plot based than just relationship driven.

The narration was fantastic! Loved them all. They really elevated this story!

Thanks BlueNose Audio for the ALC.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 24%.
Way too much “telling,” not enough “showing.” Characters were weak, not well defined. Things were happening and I just did not care enough about the characters to care how sad they were.

Needed more work.

Duet Narration performed by Maxine Mitchell, Sebastian York, and cameo by Joe Arden

• Romantic Suspense • Strangers to Lovers • Ex-SEAL • FBI Agents • PTSD • Trauma Survivors •

This was such a good read! The plot was very interesting, especially if you’re a true crime junkie like I am. And the characters were complex and interesting. I really enjoyed the love story between Tuck & Leda. Both of them are fraught with trauma and the way they are drawn to each other and learn to trust each other was so loving.

The suspense parts were really enjoyable! Serial killer on the loose and taunting the two lead characters made this a page turner!

The narrators were fantastic, as always! Maxine and Sebastian did amazing with their character differentiations, making it easy to keep everyone straight, especially since this was in 3rd person. And Joe really pulled out the creepy, psychopath for this one.
