Bared to You by Sylvia Day

This book tried too hard to be like Fifty Shades of Grey and it was no where near as good. Full of teen angst when the main characters supposed to be adults in their mid/late twenties. Poor character development, volitile relationship, pointless fights that ended in numerous make up sex sessions. Eva's mental issues were predictable from the beginning and didn't as much to her character. Gideon was weak, though Sylvia Day attempted to give his character depth by giving him a tormented past and a controlling facade. He's a feeble attempt at a Christian Grey character.
Poorly written. Anti-climatic. No real resolution. The only good part about this book was the decently written and somewhat passion love scenes. But even those left much to be desired.

Loved this novel! It transports you back in time and to a different world. Excellent character development, wonderful backstories, and intense and exciting adventures.
Though the length of this novel provided plenty of time for conflicts and reasonably timed resolutions, towards the end I began to feel that Donati introduced some unnecessary conflicts in the last 100 pages or so. Not all of these finals conflicts were given the time or the resolution they deserved. It was still a good, easy read and I was sad when characters made their departures toward the end. The book definitely ended on a different note than I expected, but not a disappointing one. However, it did leave me wanting more of the story.
I would pick this epically long novel up again just to experience once more the chemistry between the two main characters, Elizabeth and Nathaniel, and the world that Nathaniel exposes Elizabeth to.

Not as good as the first book in this series, but still a good read.

I very much enjoyed this book. I found it to be immensely more engaging that the third novel in this series. It ended on a cliff-hanger that's making me anxious and excited to pick up the fifth book! I love these characters more and more as they each evolve!

I was glad to see Elizabeth come back more to her old self from the first book than she was in the third. Nathaniel is becoming more and more like his father, Hawkeye, with each passing novel. Their love is unwavering, even after the twenty that have past since the first novel.

I was disappointed with Hannah's story though. I was sad that we barely got to know her husband, Strikes-the-Sky, and that their story was so short. I was driven to finish this book by the hope that he was still alive and would appear at Lake in the Clouds with Manny. Unfortunately, the novel ended with the reader being none the wiser about what happened to him. It was disappointing that an event that shaped Hannah so much was never disclosed, not even in the last couple of pages when it's hinted that Hannah herself finally decided to find out what Manny had to tell.

So sad it's over! I got so attached to these characters and, though it was good to see everything wrapped up for each of them, I'm sad there is no more to read of this family I've grown to love. Excellent series!
