Embers of Us by Ria Wilde
4.0
"I’m playing with fire.
Tempting the flame to burn us both alive.
But I can’t fucking stop, I wish I could but I can’t."
I was lucky to receive an ARC of Ria Wilde's newest book, Embers of Us (book three in the Burn For Me Series). It follows the story of Savannah and Killian.
I have not so patiently been waiting for Savannah and Killian's story. Since meeting them in the previous books, I have wanted to know more about them and their backstories.
I loved Savannah and Killian's story. Embers of Us is hands down my favourite book by Ria to date!
Savannah is the sunshine to Killian's darkness, and they could not be more perfect for each other.
I adored Savannah! She is a strong, independent woman who knows her worth and never backs down. I love that she knew how to push Killian's buttons and was not afraid to call him out. I am in awe of her strength, especially after everything she has endured.
Killian has always intrigued me, and the mystery surrounding him and his past left me wanting to know more.
My heart broke after finding out what happened to him and his brother all those years ago. No wonder nightmares of his past still haunt him. He was so far gone for Savannah and would do anything for her. I loved how protective and possessive he was, but he had this soft side only for her. I did want to hurt him after what he did to Savannah (IYKYK), but I did forgive him.
I was unprepared for the rollercoaster of emotions I would experience while reading their story.
I loved the found family aspect of the book. The friendship between Killian, Savannah, Dean, Sloane, Sebastian, Willow, Malakai, and Olivia is everything.
But also seriously, you can not end a book like that. I have so many questions running through my head. I need Dean and Sloane's book Within the Ashes ASAP!!
Thank you so much to Ria Wilde and @lunaliterary.management for this ARC 💜

Willow Vale by Rose Marie
4.0
"But then…everything shifted into place.
As if we were two lost pieces of a puzzle connected from the very beginning. No need to search to find the right one when it was already meant to be."
I was lucky to receive an ARC of Rose Marie's debut novel, Willow Vale. It follows the story of Lila and Travis.
The dedication hit me right in the feels.
For every soul out there who feels as if they can’t get back up. Every heart that’s been broken. Every thought that makes us question if we’re on the right path.
Don’t give up.
I love Rose's writing style, and Willow Vale had me kicking my feet and screaming as I swooned over Lila and Travis. I could not put it down and devoured it in less than a day.
I loved Lila and Travis's story and thought they were perfect together.
I adored Lila. My heart broke for her after learning about her past, but I am in awe of her strength and resilience after everything she has endured. Underneath all those walls she has built up is a kind, loving, caring woman with a heart of gold. I was so happy when she finally put her walls down and let Travis in. He showed Lila how strong she was, that it was okay to ask for help, that she was worthy of being loved, and what it meant to be someone's first choice. I have no words to describe how she selflessly stepped up and cared for River and continues to do so, but all I know is everyone deserves to have their own Lila in their life.
Travis is everything you could ever want in a book boyfriend and more. That man is so far gone for Lila and has been for years. He has the patience of a saint. He saw Lila, really saw her, and knew her better than she knew herself at times, which made me fall in love with him. The way he cares for her and River and looks after them is perfection. Where can I find myself a man like Travis?
The found family aspect of the book is complete perfection. Desi and the Adlers are some of the most supportive people, and I adore how they are always there for each other. Everyone deserves to have people like them in their lives. I hope we see more of Desi, Finn, Wren, and Logan.
I can not wait to read what Rose comes out with next!

In Good Company by Kat Singleton
4.0
"It wasn’t until Cal loved me fiercely and with no need for anything in return that I learned to let someone be there for me. He taught me that love can make us stronger and that it’s okay to need someone else.
Loving him is the best decision I’ve ever made."
I was lucky to get an ARC copy of Kat Singleton's newest book, In Good Company (the first book in the Pembroke Hills series). It follows the story of Lucy and Callahan.
I was excited to dive into the world of Pembroke Hills!
In Good Company is such a cute, easy-to-read story, and I finished it in less than a day.
I adored Lucy and Callahan's story and thought they were perfect together. I enjoyed learning more about them and watching their relationship grow.
I loved Charlotte, Jude, Camille, and Ryker. I am looking forward to seeing more of them. I also loved seeing all the characters from Kat's Black Tie Billionaires series. The found family aspect was perfect, and seeing how close they all were was everything.
I can not wait to read the next book in the Pembroke Hills series!
Thank you so much to Kat Singleton for this ARC 🤍

The Endless Fall by Emmerson Hoyt
4.0
"It’s always been her. It’s always going to be her…"
I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of Emmerson Hoyt's newest book, The Endless Fall (book one in the Deadwood Duet).
I had no idea what I was getting myself into with this book and went in completely blind, which was one of the best decisions I could have made.
I loved Willa and Ryker's story.
I was hooked from the first page and could not put this book down!
Emmerson kept me on the edge of my seat with those plot twists and all the other stuff I did not see coming. She did such a great job with this book.
I do not want to give away too much about Willa and Ryker's story because you need to read and experience it yourself.
But that cliffhanger! 🤯
Seriously, you can not end a book on a cliffhanger like that. I have so many questions running through my head. I am going to need the next book in the Deadwood Duet ASAP!
Thank you so much to Emmerson Hoyt for this ARC 🖤

A Long Ride To Redemption by Shelby Storme
4.0
"I was playing with fire. Hell, I was past playing. I was dancing in it. But I didn’t care. At least, not right now, not when she looked at me like I’d hung the damn moon itself."
I was lucky to get an ARC of Shelby Storme's newest book, A Long Ride To Redemption. It follows the story of Blythe and Arthur.
I was nervous and excited to try something different from Shelby with this old west romantasy.
A Long Ride to Redemption had such a unique concept and was unlike anything I have read.
Shelby is an amazing storyteller, and I completely lost myself in Blythe and Arthur's story. I could not put it down and devoured it in a day.
It felt like Shelby was trying to kill you with tension and yearning that kept building between Blythe and Arthur. It was pure torture, but the slow burn was worth it, and I loved every second of it!!
I do not want to give away too much about Blythe and Arthur's story because you need to read and experience it yourself.
I can not wait to read what Shelby comes out with next!

Dark Horse by Maggie Rawdon
3.0
"No one compares to you, Hellfire. Not a single solitary soul on this earth, or under it, comes close."
Maggie Rawdon is a new-to-me author, and I was lucky to receive an ARC of her newest book, Dark Horse (book two in The Quiet Horsemen series). It follows the story of Dakota and Grant.
Dark Horse and The Quiet Horsemen series are meant to be a dark western/small town, but it reads more like romantic suspense to me, which is fine. I enjoy a good romantic suspense book.
I enjoyed the book's premise and was interested in how the mystery and suspense aspects of it would all play out.
However, I found myself skimming through quite a bit of the story, which could have been shorter as it dragged on in some parts, and the mystery and suspense of the story was anticlimactic.
Dakota is a real spitfire full of sass. I loved how she kept Grant on his toes and gave as good as she got. I am in complete awe of her strength, especially after everything she has lost and endured.
Grant was underwhelming. I expected more from his character, who is being portrayed as being a morally grey cowboy turned crime boss/gangster. The only thing he was good at was being a morally grey cowboy who owned a casino.
I enjoyed the banter and tension between them. I also liked how they pushed each other's buttons and knew how to rile each other up!
I loved Charlotte. She caught my attention, leaving me wanting more. I have added her book to my never-ending TBR.
While I did not love Dark Horse as much as I had hoped to, I still look forward to giving West Bound the next book in The Quiet Horsemen series a go.
