I started reading this book before Christmas and just finished it recently. I had a hard time liking it.. I know everyone is raving about this book but I just.. I find it so hard to relate to it. There are some chapters that I love and made me tear up but overall, its okay. The book is okay. It did not change my life.

I know most people have mixed feelings about this novel.. but I actually liked it! It follows the life of an unnamed narrator who seeks to escape the complexities and disappointments of existence by indulging in a year-long hibernation facilitated by a cocktail of prescription drugs. Despite the absurdity of her quest, there is a raw authenticity to her struggle.. a yearning for escape from pressure of life and a search for a meaning in a world that often feels devoid to it.

I was was 5 chapters in when I realized that this is the second book!! But omg I devoured it!! Its so good! The twist & turns… like my jaw was on the floor. Also, I like Millie because she’s a badass but she’s lowkey annoying.
