A great, satisfying sequel. I loved this book just as much as I loved the first one. I adore how it is more focused on Alosa rather than being solely focused on her romance. I am slightly disappointed there is not another book to follow, but I understand why there is not. We see everything resolved. I loved it.

I LOVE DELILAH GREEN!! I also loved Claire, but Delilah truly has my heart. This was such a great read. I normally hate a miscommunication trope of any sort, but I think Delilah’s and Astrid’s relationship really helped the story. It was frustrating at times, but I loved how it all turned out.

I loooooove Rainbow Rowell and she absolutely did not disappoint with this one. It took me around 180 pages to get to the point where I couldn’t put it down, but then I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN!! She did such a phenomenal job at building this world of characters. Everything that confused me at first was eventually explained and everything I learned made me love the characters all the more. Simon, Baz, and Penny, you have my heart!! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

EDIT: Ok, so I made the above review right after reading the book. After it sat with me for a day or so, I have more thoughts. I think the first thing that really is bothering me is that Rainbow kind of acts like bisexuality is not a thing? Like, after Simon and Baz begin to get together he keeps asking himself if he’s gay. He also says things along the lines of “if I like a boy, I must be gay” but he clearly did like Agatha as well. That’s very frustrating. I also think that having as many different POVs as she did was kind of confused and honestly felt a bit cheap. I still did like the book, but. I am also confused as to where the other two books will lead. Everything seems kind of resolved at the end so I’m curious to see what will happen there.

READ THIS!! I was skeptical about this one at first, just because I have been disappointed by BookTok before, but BOY did this one NOT disappoint. Alex and Henry both are such easy characters to love and even easier to love them together. I also liked the political elements (although often not quite accurate) and the random history references throughout. Love!

This was a cute read. Very light-hearted and it did make me laugh out loud a few times. It wasn’t great and I didn’t love Clara’s character as much as I wanted to, but it was still a nice read!

I read this because I saw someone on Tik Tok say it was “the best rom com they had ever read”. Suffice to say, I was extremely disappointed. It wasn’t.. bad.. necessarily.. but it just also was not good. I would say it’s ok to skip out on reading this one, if you’re thinking about it.
