im excited to read the next in this series. i can feel the DNA of the parables books. im glad i can appreciate this with a few years away from the initial COVID outbreak, it's much easier to process

this was so much fun and a surprising comforting read from something classified as a horror novel. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.

this book is not perfect, and im sure there's lots of it i didn't pick up on, but im seeing the DNA of it in books i very much love, like Annihilation, or the movie Arrival. I'll have to revisit it in a couple years

about a quarter of the way through this book i developed a fever and honestly i think it just magnified everything this book was going to do to me anyway. i still feel in a haze. I'll have to revisit this one in a few years and see how it's grown on me

this was a lot of fun, as is the rest of the series. that said, the 50-80% portion did feel like it was dragging more than these books usually do, but i may just be fatigued as ive been reading more lately. i may come back to this in a few years and give it a fresh review then
