I am surprised at how much I liked this book.

This is the book to turn off your brain for and enjoy the ride, no matter the amount of ridiculousness, but shut up and read.
Very much an emotional roller-coaster, that stuffed every fantasy trope and plot line into less than 250 pages. There was several plots going on at the same time, I would forget about them between chapters. 

This book starts off as a romance novel, that is extremely aware of itself. But moves quickly between a little horror to adventure and action sometimes all in the same chapter.

warning things can get every graphic and there is strong language.

This is smooth brain fantasy. Just don't think too much about it.

It was had a slow start, most of the time I was wondering when the pace would pick up. It's definitely a lot slower than Tress of the Emerald Sea so i was surprised how the pace changed here.

It did pick up towards the last 100 or so pages but it also shouldn't have to wait that long to get to story rolling.

Ending was good though, ended on a happy note.
