Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Literally the most I've enjoyed a book in years. I love romance and this was an amazing one. Very well written with likable (loveable) characters that had me rooting for them throughout the book. It was hilarious at parts and sweet at parts. Basically I need to find myself a Big South lol. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a light hearted romance, which is often in short supply for LGBTQ books. This book reads like a Harlequin novel, which is wonderful because that's exactly what it is. There is angst and of course the big misunderstanding between the two lead characters (which wasn't centered around their sexuality), but it's all wrapped up with a happy ending which was just what I was looking for.
I thought this was a great book. We read it for my Beyond Black History month book club. I knew Michael K. Williams' face but I didn't know much about him as a person. This memoir really went into depth about his life experiences, all that he struggled with and had to overcome and how he tried to use his platform to bring about positive change for his community.
