This book was absolutely awesome. Spooky, creepy, and messed up…had me trying to piece together everything and then when you think you have it…nope! Loved every page!

This book is crazy! Creepy, disturbing, and sometimes gross. It was a little long in my opinion and I wish there was more backstory about the “Ruins”.

Funny, disturbing, and somewhat dark. I enjoyed it immensely. Gives you some insight into the nasty side of social media as well.

Overall, this is a cool book. The magic system is unique…there are characters you love, and some you hate. However, the love story felt forced, rushed, and unnecessary…could have been a REALLY good slow burn. And some of the references to facial expressions are repetitive. With that said…the plot is super neat and the end was a cliffhanger. Would read book 2…what annoyed wasn’t enough to avoid the series
