i really like the writing in this and the story, but i just HATE when the mc lies to the love interest to get their attention like WHYYYY 😭😭😭 it’s the worst trope ever i swear i just dont get ittttt!!! like ik it’s a ya and she’s a teen so she feels like she’s not good enough but i just hate lies 😭😭😭 and like tbh this is the one time in a romance where i understand people that go “this couple would break up after the book ends” bc for the first time i felt like that applied to the book. this book. and for a romance, that means u couldn’t sell me on one of the most important parts of the story, which breaks my heart bc there are truly so many important conversations in here, but it’s all overshadowed by the lies and unbelievable romance tbh
