this was fun and despite it being super long, i was always entertained and intrigued. i’m not like obsessed with this or the characters but i definitely enjoyed the way the story progressed and the chemistry in the relationship. my favorite part HAD to be the shelter dogs plot and how relevant it was, if there’s dogs i’m in no questions asked 🫡

this book is a love letter to books and book lovers and i adored how warm and cozy it felt. i also loved how original the plot was, and really enjoyed how the story progressed. however, i wasn’t obsessed with it for some reason. like there was something missing for me to be like OMG THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING and idk what it was, but yeah :(

oh my GODDDD this book was such a delightful surprise?!!! i was GIGGLING, KICKING MY FEET, LAUGHING OUT LOUD, SCREAMING, RUNNING LAPS AROUND MY ROOM HELLO?!!!! the perfect balance of amazing plot with lovable characters and such DEEP chemistry?!!! UNMATCHED! it was so funny at times too, while still being deep and meaningful and just a perfect balance! ALSO HE LITERALLY SAID ITS ALWAYS BEEN YOU?!!! THEY ARE SOULMATES YOUR HONOR I CANT HANDLE IT!!!!!! adam is honestly my perfect man?!! I! LOVE! HIM!!!!!!!!!! they way it was revealed how they were literally always meant to be killed me in the best way, i knew beforehand it’d happen but it was just the cherry on top of a perfect heartwarming story 

if you love emily henry and want a book with those vibes, RUN DONT WALK!!!!

i wanted to love this way more than i did, but i simply couldn’t STAND the fmc… literally the whole problem and point of the book was her misinterpreting stuff and being selfish and like WHYYYYYY 😭😭😭 i seriously wanted to slap her sooo many times!!!

that being said, i loved the how the forced proximity aspect took form and how it worked out, and omfg NIKHIL THE MAN THAT YOU ARE?!!! INVENTED YEARNING AND PINNING HOLY SHIT WE WAS IN LOVE WITH HER FOR 7 FUCKING YEARS EVEN AFTER SHE LEFT HIM?!!! WHAT A FUCKING MAN HELLO

if you love second chance, i truly think you’ll adore this one bc imo it did it SO WELL and it’s been one of my fave second chances i’ve read so far, i’m just simply not a fan of the amount of angst it brings and i wanted to slap the fmc bc of it so many times, but again if second chance is something you like RUN don’t walk to pick this one up, it’s worth it!

a lot of people have been saying they didnt enjoy this book but honestly? i’m a simple person and i had fun! it was fast paced, i loved the way the romance developed, and i have a soft spot for ballet, so this hit for me! the only thing i didn’t really enjoy was how involved her brother was on her love life like why did he care SO much 😭😭😭 it was too intense for me tbh! but besides that, i really had fun reading this and really liked asher and scarlett as a couple and will be sat to read the next books in the series 🫡

my favorite part was probably the chronic pain rep tho, it was incredibly realistic and well done and was always an important plot point, and we love to see the rep tbh!

STOPPPPP THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD WJDKSJDQKDK!! i knew from day one that henry was going to be my favorite. and when i found out that he was Audhd (like me!) i was even more certain. add a fmc that is the oldest daughter™ and a people pleaser slash mirrorball girlie (LIKE ME!) and it was a book definitely targeted to me as a person, but perfect and very close and dear to my heart bc of it!!! 

halle and henry’s relationship was also so beautiful and developed so perfectly to me, FRIENDS TO LOVERS WAS TRULY SERVING HERE AND THEY LEFT NO CRUMBS!!!!! honestly the older the i get, the more and more i like friends to lovers, specially after realizing it is the trope i am most comfortable with irl (for me personally!). and they were such a perfect and beautiful example of the trope, with such palpable chemistry and connection ugh i love themmmm!! the audhd rep was also so well done and so well handled and i related to it SO! MUCH!!! i adore halle and henry and the entire friend group atp and could read a billion more books about the rest of the friends tbh like pretty please i swear im not asking for much!

oh my gOD?!!!! okay so it took me a bit to get into this book, specially bc when i say they really didn’t like each other and said the most mean things to one another? but that only made the pay off more worth it BC OMFG THEY ARE SOULMATES YOUR HONOR!!! no bc apparently my theme of the month is books that simply make me sob BC WHY TF WAS I SOBBING WITH A SUPPOSEDLY CUTESY FIGURE SKATING ROMANCE?!!! if i know one thing, it’s that ice skating romances WILL ALWAYS DO IT FOR ME!!!! 

bryan my sweet golden retriever broken baby who was literally to similar to me for my liking, I FELT EXPOSED LIKE WDYMMMM IS THIS FUCKING PLAY ABOUT US?!! and okay katya sometimes got on my nerves but when i fully understood why she was like that… yes that’s my baby right there 😭😭😭 the way their relationship developed so naturally and flawlessly was insane in the best way possible, I LOVE THEM UGHHHH I CANT BELIEVE THEY ARE NOT REALLLLL
