At first I thought that none of the obvious questions of the book get answered but after thinking on this more I realized the “obvious question” aren’t the point of the book at all.
I found this book very unsettling as I was reading but extremely thought provoking. I have a feeling I’ll be thinking about and reflecting on this book a lot in the coming years.

I can’t decide if I liked this or not. Some parts were good, so parts were very boring, especially at the start. I enjoyed the writing and detail and almost feel like this will make a better tv show than book.

This was a re-read and a good classic. The book got much better at the end. Frustrating that there are no complex female characters and you can tell women/female characters are clearly not valued. (I’ll chalk that up to the book being written in the 50s). Very relevant themes even today.
