If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin

I love James Baldwin, he is such an amazing writer. He captures African American culture in New York in the sixties so beautifully in this book. I didn't quite get the ending, I felt like it was rushed. Maybe I'm just to dense to get what Baldwin was trying to leave as a lasting statement, but the entire book was so eloquent that I was disappointed in the ending.
