This book had a lot of potential and it began as a lighthearted rom com and then towards the end it took a complete 180 degree tonal shift and got depressing for no reason imo. The characters are ages 35+ and make decisions that teenagers would.

SPOILERS AHEAD:
If I was Jacob and I had this woman continuously leaving me and coming back and miscommunicating, I’d just leave bro💀
Also the miscommunication trope and accidental pregnancy trope are probably the worst romance themes and they’re both in this book

Once you get past the narrator’s unique voice, this story turns into one of the best lessons about morality and human nature.
