Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson
Did not finish book. Stopped at 51%.

Man I’m dnfing at 50% ya’ll. This book is so hyped with soooo many good reviews but I could not get into it. The narration is a killer for me. The pacing was slow. The characters boring. The one positive is really exceptional word building. A sea of spores very cool. Idk this is just not for me.

I wanted to love this as much as Butcher and Blackbird but it just didn’t live up to the hype for me! Not bad but not great like book 1. 

Note for Mack: there is one eyeball scene but you could skip like pages and be fine

Review for Mack: this was so fine. If you want a wayyyy better heist book just read six of crows. If you want to try this author go for we hunt the flame. This was whatever. Not a lot of fleshing out the characters or the story line honestly.
