5 ⭐️ FREAKING⭐️ STARS⭐️

I yelled, I screamed, I gasped, I swooned, I kicked and giggled, and I fell in love with Hawke. A+, no notes, 10/10. 👌

I LOVED THIS BOOK.

Ok, Pierce Brown, I see you. The way the last couple portion of the book had me crying, gasping, laughing, and calling my friend immediately after freaking out.

“For all the unspoken words, it took only two to put us back together.”

Those Two Words by Ronnie Matthews 🧩🌲🤍

A few months ago an Amazon package showed up at my door with this book. I checked my orders and sure enough, I’d bought this book a few days prior and had no recollection 😂 Best. Accidental. Purchase. EVER.

I spent last night and this morning getting cozy with this story and let me tell ya - so. should. YOU.

If I had to pick one song to describe this book it would be This Love by Taylor Swift. Basic, I know, but read the book and you’ll get it! Johanna and Patrick are childhood besties to lovers who get a second chance at their love story after 6 years apart 🥹

The author not only captures their love beautifully, but Ronnie does an amazing job capturing the reality of grief, trauma, and panic attacks. I found myself feeling like I was in the room with the characters watching everything unfold. Such talent!

Those Two Words is also a gazillion peppers level of spicy, but can be skipped over if that’s not your thing. 🌶️

“There’s no such thing as a weed,” Caz said. “That’s a cruel term made up by people who label some plants as ‘unwanted’ and some as ‘valuable,’ as if the worth of a living thing is measured by how useful it is to another living thing. As if a plant can’t have its own intrinsic worth.”

Came for cozy cottage core vibes and left with that and some great lessons. This book is slow and not action packed, but if you’re looking for very chill Stardew Valley/Animal Crossing vibes to wind down after this week, I highly recommend! 💜

So good!! I’ve been complaining about the quality of mysteries and thrillers I’ve read this year and was ready to take a break from the genre. So glad I gave this a chance! It’s such a good mystery with Knives Out and Agatha Christie vibes and a twist of romance!
