I'm not a big fan of first-person narrative so, it took me a while to get into the flow of the book.

I found the main character to be really unbelievable as a lawyer. I was extremely frustrated with the main character's choices.

The book was very depressing and dealt with subjects I found difficult to read.

My first time reading a gothic novel. Read as part of my book club. I found the pacing REALLY slow. Didn't finish it.

I'm not usually one for mystery / thrillers. I decided to give it a go as I'm a huge fan of Joshua Jackson (he narrates the audiobook.)I listened to the entire book in less than 3 days! The book is wonderfully spooky and, the performance is enthralling. I will definitely be checking out the next in the series.

Loved the book and the concept. A LGBTQ+ time travelling romance you must read! Written with beautiful language and prose, wonderful to listen to. My only critique of the audiobook is that the voices for each of the two characters is very similar and it was difficult to know who was speaking at times.

I couldn't put it down. I listened to the entire book in one day. The story is heartbreaking, brilliantly funny, and hopeful. Jennette McCurdy takes us on a wild ride through the ins and outs of childhood stardom, finding her voice and creating a life for herself. This story is beautifully written and raw. You can't help but cheer her on. Well donešŸ§”

It was well worth the read. Learning about Matthew's battle with addiction made me reflect on my sobriety. He was a big believer in the program- AA. This memoir is bitter-sweet. Matthew is funny, charming and, at times, raw and vulnerable.
