I guess it was a okish superhero type of story to waste time on. However it did drag on towards the end like I almost dropped it. I felt not every character got the chance to shine even though the jokes were pretty funny at times like anonymouse was genuinely the only character that I enjoyed. Main leads just were meh including Angel catbird himself and the love interest/s (catgirl and owl girl, can’t remember their names as they were completely forgettable). Even the evil mad scientist mousey himself wasn’t even a great villian. He’s just basically an old man who hates cats and has nothing else to really offer really. Yeah I’m sadly not a big fan of this story even if I love animals….
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

It seemed like a good idea to have three different looks of mermaids with a spice of gayness, especially how each had their unique personalities. However, I think it was really fast paced so it was kinda confusing and dragged on at times, including the forced jokes. I wasn’t really thrilled with the ending as it just seemed like the author couldn’t get an idea on a good ending. I mean yeah the trio got back to being mermaids with their human friend who took them in at first with they were “humans” but it’s just yeah, i was probably expecting a romance one as I did ship Tooth x Eez and Pearl x the human girl that took em in (can’t remember her name damn).
It’s an ok read to waste time on but it could’ve had a bit of improvements that I said above to make me feel WOW about this graphic novel…
Tbh even though it had pretty funny bits, I just think playboy boi was a complete ass towards baggy eyes boi. I do like my enemies to lovers stories but I just felt he was too forceful just because he wants his pickle back.
Thanks netgalley and publisher for allowing me to read this manga.
I was super confused man like I didn’t know wtf was going on with Ella Summers here. She’s meeting such random characters without proper intros and she’s going to places more than me but to what purpose?! It’s just massively unclear what’s going on. I mean the art is pretty good, it’s not fantastic but it’s easy on my blind eyes so I’m not complaining about it. Yep another wasted potential but there ya go…….
Thanks netgalley and publisher for giving me this manga.
I honestly thought it was meh tbh, there was hardly any story but all it’s about is a scary woman terrorising the MC. It just felt rushed and underwhelming like 11 chaps do nothing to show the full meaning of horror….
