Quick read. Being a criminal defense lawyer I was a little disappointed at first because I just did not want to deal with criminal law in my book but it was peppered in throughout the book in just the right way. I had no idea how it was going to end.
This is just a really beautifully written story. The characters are well developed and the ending was exactly what I wanted it to be.
My mother constantly, and to this day, blames my dad’s mother for all of their marital issues and their divorce. I kept thinking about that as I was reading this book and then the ending just changed it all. Looking back, just as Emily did, I can see how things went so so wrong.
