The book was weird. Like it said it was a Halloween RH but the only thing Halloween about it was she fucked a werewolf, scarecrow, and 2 skeleton men. The smut wasn’t even that good. It was just very weird. But you can’t really expect amazing when it’s under 200 pages. And it’s a standalone.

Absolute trash. The story line was promising the execution was way off. Everything was rushed. The characters almost never really spent any time together but boom she’s trying to fight her attraction to him and she’s slowly letting him in. And the ending oh god. One minute she’s refusing to fuck him cause she isn’t ready and doesn’t believe he really loves her then the next they fuck and then turns out everything he did was following a step by step plan she left for him to find. But still held out on loving him. I feel like .5 star is too much.

There was just something about it that didn’t have me consuming this completely. I couldn’t stand reading from her pov. I think it was all the confusion about the sudden appearance of the elven people. I just lost interest in her character. There was plenty of action but I was just confused over what exactly was going on so I was a bit lost and forced myself to finish the book.

It was just like a normal trashy smut book. No real plot. Nothing truely special about it. He was a bit annoying how he was all “this will be the best 🍆 you ever had” it also was very rushed. Like if the author took the time to put real effort into it it would be so much better. Really dig deep into him coming to grips with the lost of his fiance and baby. Maybe get to see Sloan with jay and how she left him. The author was in too something but couldn’t stick with the commitment of writing a full book so she shortened it but left out many important things.

It a good light read. There was some spice not a whole lot. It did feel like the romance on her side was rushed cause she mentions he’s easy on the eyes then two days later she’s falling for him. Idk if it was more she had a crush on him but was too scared to do anything about it it would have been more believable. Joshua’s revenge was both out of left field and I knew it was coming. Like if they made comments about how Joshua caused a scene at the office cause he was fired or been in a spiral that would have hinted at him going after her but it seemed like the author forgot and was like “shit I need to do this”. But it was good. I’ll probably read the rest of this series but not rn

This book started out as trash I forced myself for get thought it cause I didn’t want to DNF a 3rd book this month. Then when they met it picked up but them got terrible again. LITERALLY TRASH. SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED. there were 3 chapters in one. It was painful. Then they kept repeating the same shit over and over again about how he needs her or something like that and it got very annoying. And there was so much shit packed in this it could have been 2 books. Like at one point I totally forgot he was looking for his sister katya. Cause he barley mentions her. Idk g I picked up this book. I’m not getting back the hours I spent reading it but that’s on me. I will NEVER read anything by this author again.

Finally a good book in February. It’s a nice classic mafia romance. Second chance fake dating. 🤌🏻 💋. Still trying to figure out she betrayed him when it was all her father. I need Nero to melt more and show her he loves her a bit more before I love him. But he’s getting there. The only think I didn’t like was how he referred to his 🍆 as “the beast” ick.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 6%.
This book was aweful. I couldn’t get pass 5%. Terrible writing. Basically in a normal fae book where the human realizes she has powers at the end of the book. It happened in the first 13 chapters. And she was talking about how her dad trained her in swordplay while in the same page she talks about how her parents green minivan was still in the driveway.

Terrible writing. The grammatical error. It’s just pure trash. Everything is rushed it doesn’t make since and they throw in shit out of no where like how the uncle is a rapist and the serial killer. Like not even mentioning how she looks like the other victims.

I usually live dark romances like this but from the first page where the FMC was hating herself for her self-care I was confused. There is nothing wrong with that. But the author just wanted the FMC to hate herself and picked that. This book read like it was written by a man.
