Thank you to St. Martin’s Press for the advanced reader copy of the ebook to read and review.

Same by Hannah Rosenberg is an emotional journey through girlhood, womanhood, and motherhood. I consumed these poems in one sitting and am already preparing to re-read them. Rosenberg’s words are emotional and empowering. Same is split into six parts, my favorite being “For our friends”. I connected most with this section as a 25 year old yearning for my girlhood friendships and navigating creating new adult relationships. As the sections represent the many phases of a woman, those at any age can relate.

I was excited to see what happens to the characters after How to Solve Your Own Murder. And to unravel more secrets! How to Seal Your Own Fate is so fast paced, I tried to create my own theories while reading along but I am just not that clever. Kristen Perrin’s plot twists are so unpredictable. Overall it is a fun, easy read for amateur sleuths.

Thank you to Penguin Young Readers Group for the gifted copy of The Midwatch Institute for Wayward Girls.

The Midwatch Institute for Wayward Girls by Judith Rossell is adventurous, inspiring, and a little bit quirky. This whimsical story is great for young readers who like Matilda. I loved the artwork and the added “Useful Things Every Girl Should Know.”

I love Caraval but I didn’t like the narrator of the audiobook.

Thank you to Wednesday Books for this gifted ebook to read and review.

I love the Grimm Brother’s Fairytales so I knew immediately this was the book for me. The Forest Grimm is dark, mysterious, and beguiling. Kathryn Purdie’s writing style is captivating with complex characters and a vivid setting. I started reading The Deathly Grimm immediately, I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next.
