I loved that this book was pirate-themed without using the word pirate. I admire that Young used her world building to create the world of pirates and didn’t rely on having to tell us. This was a quick read, it only took me two days to get through it. Fable, our main character, left us on quite a cliffhanger- I look forward to continuing the series.

Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro have absolutely outdone themselves. I was so impatient waiting for this book and I consumed it in two days. This is such an amazing addition to the Percy Jackson world. I have loved seeing Nico’s character development and he has come such a long way since The Titan’s Curse.

I absolutely love the SJM book world. I did read ACOTAR and CC before this book so I anticipated her early works to be different. I only have it a three because I know that she has much more complex and compelling books. I am excited to see how this series evolves with her writing style as well. I was turned off by the third person point of view, especially for the main character, however I think it became valuable to see scenes with minor characters. As for the characters, I am captivated by how complex Celaena is as a FMC. I do love a good love triangle and I don’t think her love interests took away from her story.
