dear god I loved it. my first ever NA and it was colleen Hoover! I adored the plot, the characters, the rawness and beauty of this book! I'm off to listen to the soundtrack so I can relieve it but mostly I'm shocked at how much I was consumed by the book. I read it in one sitting (I got up to eat once) and I've never loved a book so much that I've wanted a stranger to read it too. this book was heartbreaking, i mean I sobbed and now I'm so sore because I haven't moved but I know one thing. I will buy every other Colleen Hoover book and enjoy them because she is a goddess. I laughed, cried, and felt for these characters. the story was resounding and I've never felt more on edge about a book. I mean, it was as though I was ACTUALLY there. I get I say that sometimes but really it's as though I hear Ridge talk and strum his guitar, as though I heard the heartbreak of knowing it's hard to be together, as though I felt the pain and cried along with them. Thank you Colleen. I love you for writing this book. please never stop!

I'm so happy I took my sweet time with this novella bind up. First off, I loved that epilogue. Second, young Wolf and Thorne is something I didn't know I needed *swoons* *cries* I'm so happy with how they turned out. Michelle Benoit is one of my fave adults in YA and there's a reason for that. She's so loyal, brave, intelligent & stubborn. Her and Scarlets relationship was so sweet and the fact she named Cinder was an amazing discovery. She felt heart broken when she had to part with her and - *cue waterworks* I just love Michelle. I wish we got more of her and Logan but it's okay because the ending was oh so satisfying. The Cinder story was heart wrenching but it was nice to see Peony and Cinders early relationship. I, once again, cried because of the memories. Iko was and still is amazing and funny and earnest. GOSH I LOVE THEM ALL OKAY?!? Anyways, everyone knows how obsessed I am with this series...they are MY harry potter. I didn't grow reading HP but I feel like I've grown into a different person because of Marissa's world. Her characters and their traits shine through me and I'm so grateful to have read and finished this series. I will never be truly finished nor done with this series because you never truly leave home. (THAT'S RIGHT, I WENT ALL SAPPY)
Obviously a strong 10000000/5 stars.

"Could you see yourself sitting down to tea with these girls? Will it surprise you to learn that one of them went on to gun down 3 unarmed German prisoners? Will it shock you to learn that one lit her cigarette from the flames of a burning German SS officer?"

I've cried, I've hurt, I've smiled, I've applauded and I've been so damn proud of all these girls. Frangie, having to deal with being a black Nurse and the discrimination that came with it and taunts. Rainy, having to constantly prove herself worthy of being a part of the Intelligence in the Army & Rio...sweet, innocent Rio. Rio, who lost a loved one. Who was deemed a great shooter. Who eventually...did what she had to do. She is by far one of the most progressive characters I've read and it scares as well as excites me. She's badass but weary of the future. What's important is...their alive. Every one of my girls. And I hope, I pray, that Grant keeps them all safe...

One thing I can't wait to find out in book 2 is who the writer/narrator is. It's not Rio...but I gotta know asap. The deaths and the details of war in this book shocked me to my core and I know it'll be a long while till I forget this book.

Oh. My. God.

"How much do you love me?"

I...have no words. I mean, I do...but this book. This author. The writing...I'm so surprised and confused and just -
Okay. I'm gonna have to breathe and collect my thoughts if I want to write a decent review. Here goes nothing...
The story starts off with Anna at Aruba with her friends. From there, we got flash backs and flash forwards. We follow Anna's POV and we're taken on this ride full of twists and turns and deception and betrayal and - well. It's incredible. Elise, Anna's BFF is murdered and Anna is the main suspect. The authors writing style is so unique and out of this world. It had elements of all great thrillers and it kept me on the edge of my seat, quite literally. Every night before I'd go to sleep, I'd do nothing but read till my eyes would sting. I can honestly say, that this is a unique thriller and the crime is so abhorrent. You assume that you know who the real killer is, but Haas manages to sway you so fast, it's like you never saw it coming. It's filled with deception and love and I am sure I will not forget this book anytime soon. The characters are also unique and there were moments I thought there was something off about Elise...still do.

I can't wait to read other books by Haas. I'm also scared for my sanity and logic.

P.s. to think she'd be a fave character of mine too...

After a year of lusting after this book because of its premise and it's cover (yes the cover is gorgeous) I finally bought and read this book in the span of a day. I'm in awe at the fact that I devoured it in such a short while, especially during exam season. But at the same time, this book deserves nothing short of my full attention. The world building was phenomenal. In the absence of a map, all I had to go on were the main protagonist's words and the author was able to make me picture every mountain, colour and detail of everything, without boring or slowing down the pace.

The writing style was fun and whimsical and it helped that I enjoyed the main protagonist, Agnieshka's voice/narrative. She was hilarious and witty and clumsy and odd and I. LOVED. EVERYTHING. I loved this aspect of her clumsiness since it made her flawed and thus, more real. It also made her motives that much more convincing since she had never aspired to be a hero and would rather run, even though she knew she would have to brave through it. I loved her and she's easily one of the most enjoyable characters I've read about. Her relationship with the Dragon was one that had me laughing out loud and quickly trying to calm myself down enough to read on. He was the complete opposite of her in everyway: he was always scowling, annoyed and such a perfectionist. This made me cherish their interactions even more since he'd call her an idiot even when they were on *good* terms. I adored the intimacy and I love that the romance was slow burn and that it took a back seat so that we could enjoy this book for what it is - an epic fantasy book that made me anxious to know what awaited beyond each chapter.

In terms of the plot, wow. Just absolutely wow. It is so original and interesting that it was hard for me to let go off the book at any point. I was unable to function during the day unless I had the book and unless I was in the midst of eating it up. The story that is unravelled, about the Wood and it's origins had me on the edge of my seat and there were moments that tears would well up in my eyes.

Now, the action. So much would happen and every time we were blessed with a great happy, tear jerking (but in a good way) scene, we would be tossed into so much chaos, death and destruction. The premise of the Wood was terrifying and haunting enough but to add to the fact that there were people who returned from it no longer themselves? yeah, scary. There was so much bloodshed and epic parts that I had to read through it ONLY because it was to good to set down.

Finally, Kasia and Agnieshka. The story is told in the POV of Agnieshka but it also has so many elements and parts that show us the beautiful bond between these two girls. I loved the realness and honesty of their bond and I loved the moments that were shared between them. They are the definition of best friend goals. You see how much they care for one another and you also see the lengths they'd go for each other. I loved this because books with heartbreaking moments are what I thrive for.

All in all, I'm so happy that everyone was enjoying themself and that we found out about the story behind the Woods origins. I love that Sarkan is with her ans still the same scowling person but I'm just...I'm so satisfied and happy. I have no other words to describe my enjoyment. This book deserves all the stars for holding my attention, for hurting me, for putting my heart at stake of breaking for making me laugh (out loud!) and for making me smile :)

I wanted this book mostly because of its cover and the premise sounded incredible. Way too incredible! I'm so glad I finally received it as a gift from a friend (Ishhy <3) and I'm even more glad that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Every single chapter had me wanting more and I adored it (dare I say I ate it up?). The world building was phenomenal and even the social inequality was delivered in a realistic way. It resembled our own society in many ways and I viewed the Empire in the same way I view the British one. I loved the cultural elements, the importance of music and the elements of love and family weaved into this novel.

The 2 main protagonists, Arin and Kestrel both had such high stakes from the very start till the last page of this book. Both were loyal to their people and yet they were drawn towards each other. They both value family and the progression of their love story was so beautiful and poignant. Honestly, I ship these two so hard. My heart is in pieces after that last line. It was a slow burn in terms of how long it took for them to *FINALLY* express how they felt about one another and it was a hate-turned-love relationship in the beginning since neither one liked the other very much. I'm so glad we were introduced to Sarsine and I can't wait to find out more about her. I'm also very glad that there was so much conflict in this book...which leads me to the conclusion, which is that I'll now go off to my cave and read the sequel. Thankfully, I don't have to wait for a year and since the sequel is on my shelf right now...there's my weekend planned folks!

This book deserves so many stars for the unique plot, slow burn romance, the conflict and so much more. I recommend it if political intrigue and strong female characters are your cup of tea.

From the very start with that amazing prologue to that shocking epilogue, this book had me hooked and it. would. not. let. go. I finished it so quickly and I'm a mess right now but I'll be doing a full detailed review on my blog this week!

I LOVED IT. SO SO MUCH. THERE WAS KADY IN THIS BOOK AND I WAS SO GLAD OF IT!
Honestly, this book deserves so many stars for making me itch at any mention of Lamina. *shudders* It had action, higher stakes, more confusing twists that make sense and SO. MANY. TEARS. I was on the verge of paranoia and I honestly don't know how I survived. The humour was amazing and there were some LOL moments. Honestly, "LilNikIsDrivingTheBus" is the funniest. I adored the new characters: Hanna, Nik and Ella. They were so much fun and I loved them and I was honestly just here sobbing half the time. There is some physics in this book and I felt overwhelmed at its mention, but me being an avid watcher of the Flash, I actually got the gist. This sequel is so action packed, gritty and just...so much death guys. And so many moments I felt terrified. I will be putting out a review closer to its release date but I'm so glad I got the chance for some level of closure and now the only question that remains is...Will there be ARCS for the epic ILL3?
